The Cashmere & Camel Hair Manufacturers Institute was established in 1984 to protect the integrity of genuine cashmere and camel hair products.
The members of the Cashmere Council are among the most prestigious companies operating in the manufacturing and fashion business worldwide.
In more recent years, the CCMI has expanded its activity creating the Superfine Wool Council to protect the proper use of the Super’S claims in regard of superfine wool.
CCMI works to protect the interests of consumers, manufacturers and retailers, maintaining the integrity of cashmere and camel hair and fine wool products through information, quality assurance monitoring and industry cooperation.
